We understand that choosing ABA therapy is an important decision for your family. Our intake process is designed to be simple, transparent, and supportive, ensuring your child receives personalized care from the very beginning.

Step 1: Start with a Call

Your journey begins with a phone call. During this initial conversation, we take the time to learn about your child, discuss your family’s goals, answer questions, and determine whether our services are the right fit for your needs.

Step 2: Schedule a Tour

We schedule a tour so parents and caregivers can visit our clinic, learn more about our services, and meet the clinical team who may support their child. This is an opportunity to ask questions, explore the environment, and begin building a relationship with the professionals involved in your child’s care.

Step 3: Insurance & Benefits Verification

Complete our intake application and our team works directly with your insurance provider to verify benefits, explain coverage details, and guide you through any authorization requirements. We believe families should have a clear understanding of their benefits before services begin.

Step 4: Comprehensive Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts a thorough assessment to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, interests, and developmental needs. Parent input is a critical part of this process, helping us create a complete picture of your child.

Step 5: Individualized Treatment Planning

All treatment plans are individualized to meet each child’s unique needs, strengths, goals, and developmental profile. Using assessment results, direct observations and data collection, review of any previous services and family priorities, your BCBA develops an individualized plan of care that outlines recommended client and parent goals, services, and treatment hours. Recommendations may include communication, social skills, play skills, daily living skills, behavior support, and transition to school services.

Step 6: Family Review & Collaboration

We review the individualized plan of care with you, discuss recommendations, answer questions, and ensure the goals and proposed treatment hours align with your family’s priorities. We believe the most meaningful progress happens when families and clinicians work together as partners.

Step 7: Insurance Authorization & Scheduling

Once authorization is received, we coordinate a therapy schedule based on your child’s individualized plan of care and the treatment hours and social group recommended by the clinical team. Our team works diligently to make the transition into services as smooth as possible.

Step 8: Therapy Begins

Your child begins receiving individualized ABA services with a dedicated clinical team. Throughout treatment, your BCBA closely monitors progress, analyzes data, and adjusts programming as your child develops new skills. Treatment plans and hours may be updated over time to reflect your child’s progress and changing needs.

Step 9: Ongoing Parent Partnership

Parents are an essential part of the therapy process. Through regular communication, reoccurring scheduled parent training, and progress reviews, we empower families with strategies that support success across home, school, and community environments.

From your first phone call to your child’s first day of therapy, our goal is to provide a welcoming experience that gives your family confidence, clarity, and support every step of the way.

Assessment

We begin by offering a tour of our clinic and a meeting with our BCBAs. It’s important for a parent to see and talk to the providers that will be working with your child each day. Intake documentation is complete, and all documentation has been shared with the team. This includes your child’s diagnosis report. A comprehensive in-person assessment is conducted to identify your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals. Based on this assessment, the BCBA develops an individualized ABA therapy plan unique to your child’s specific needs.

We use evidence- and research-based practices and modify the plan or protocols as your child progresses to ensure that therapy remains effective. The BCBA meets regularly for parent training to share treatment progress and train parents on skills development, behavior protocols, and ABA skills to help support this expectation in the home and community setting.
